Summary

After comparing how Fox News covers the issue of Global Warming/Climate Change with how Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert cover it, we came to the conclusion that Fox News used agenda setting, gatekeeping, and framing to portray Global Warming in the way they wanted the audience to see it. They have taken scientists out of context and presented it in ways that would make your average viewer question the reality of Global Warming, when in fact Climate Change is a reality and scientists have found a preponderance of evidence that points to such. Scientists believe this could be the single most important issue of our generation’s lifetime. We also found that the clips from John Stewart, Steven Colbert, and Robert E. Davies to be in direct conflict with what the Fox Network had said on the same issues. Though sarcastic at times, Colbert and Stewart made valid points in presenting the correct information regarding Global Warming.
